This past weekend I had the pleasure of attending the 3rd annual lavender festival at Springfield Manor Winery and it was lovely. Sometimes it is wonderful to go new places and see new things. My husband and I have driven past this winery many times and I had always wondered about it.

There was so much to do and see at this festival, from vendors to seminars. Walking through the lavender field was first on the list after getting some lavender lemonade. My sweet friend and I took some fun pictures while trying not to spook the bees( if you look closely you can see one on the flower above). Once we explored the field we walked around to scope out the vendors( there were so many fun booths to see). Included in the ticket price was a spirit tasting( i will share more below), a bath salt bar and watercolor painting.

The beautiful vintage inspired design of this sign instantly drew me in the free spirit tasting. While I am not a big drinker, I was up for trying a small taste of lavender infused spirits.

After we tried them we went to our first seminar about succulents. Y’all it was so informative. I had no idea that I was “ loving “ my succulents to much and thats why they dont always make it. Between seminars we sampled some food from two of the many food trucks they had ( the lavender chicken salad was amazing). We attended two afternoon seminars on essential oils and cooking with lavender.

Overall I would highly recommend this festival to anyone looking for a fun way to spend the day in the foot hills of the mountains in Thurmont. I can not wait to go back next year, this view alone is worth it.

Thank you for stopping by the blog today!
