Mini Stay-cation in St Michael's - Part One
I am sure you have heard that everyone is feeling a bit antsy these days with everything that is going on in the world. Our anniversary happened to fall at the beginning of all of the state shut downs due to COVID which meant we had to reschedule our trip. I am not going to lie, while the town is beautiful in spring, it feels more magical in the fall. I am so excited that we spent a long weekend in a historic home in our favorite town. I plan to check back in soon with more photos from the trip showing you all of the amazing historic details of he house to fun around town with Rosie. This will be Rosie’s first trip with us out of town and I am really looking forward to showing her our favorite town.
I wanted to share a few of our favorite places and things to do in town when we go. I wanted to mention that we are very laid back sit on a bench and watch the boats come into the harbor kind of people. However there are a lot of things to do in town if that is not your speed. Firstly, the museums in town are filled with so much interesting town history and history of the bay. At the maritime museum you can take a guided boat tour of the bay surrounding the campus. Shopping on main street offers a variety of fun finds for all types of people and styles. They have a few newer restaurants and some that are town staples. Our favorites include: Foxys, Avas , the Saloon and Limoncello. Taking a drive out of town to Tilghman Island has also become one of our favorite things to do. Tilghman is a historic waterman’s town that offers up some gorgeous views and unique history.
I will be back to share some tips about traveling with a puppy in this town for the first time. I hope you had a great weekend friends and thanks for stopping by.
