Back yard update- part one

It is my passion to create beautiful interiors for people and us, but I also know that the exterior is just as important and at times just as fun. I have always dreamed of having a beautiful backyard to hang out in with friends and family , a place to day dream and to drink my coffee. Any place to drink a cup of coffee sounds like a good place to me. While our backyard is still a work in progress I wanted to share some photos of what it looked like and where it is today.

I just wanted to take a moment to gush a little on the blessings I have. My husband, his dad and his sweet brother were here working in the heat to get this retaining wall in. I am so excited that our backyard is starting to come together. There is still a lot of work to do but I believe that some progress in the right direction is better then no progress. I daydream about the time we get to spend out here enjoying each others company and hosting friend get togethers.

I will be sure to keep you all updated as changes are made. We recently purchased some Edison string lights that I can not wait to get hung. I was thinking we would be doing that soon but my husband quickly reminded me that there is still a ton of work to do, A girl can dream right? * since writing this they have finished the side walls and we are ready for concrete to be poured.
