Hydro Garden Update

Hello Friends!

We are currently enjoying a much need vacation in the west but I wanted to take some time to update you on our gardens. We are so excited because everything is starting to grow with the exception of two things we planted. Did you know that cilantro seeds are inside of a coriander pod? We sure didn’t so needless to say the cilantro did not grow. The best part about this garden set up is that we can just get a new grow pod and try again.

Recently we harvested our lettuce and I have to tell you it is truly some of the best lettuce I have ever tasted. They call it a salad green mix. Our peppers and tomato plans have also started to really take off. A few days ago we did some pruning to ensure that the tallest heartiest plant would flourish.

I love that both of us are learning as we go. Gardening is an art form to me no matter the type of garden. Gardening requires patience, hard work and love. Even though we are growing things indoors and in a contained system we still have work to do in order to make sure everything grows properly. The biggest take away from this for me has to be watching my husband get so excited to see the new growth of his plant babies.

These are a surprise for me and I cant wait to see what they are. I will be updating you on the garden as things start to really pop up and we are able to harvest our first tomato( or pepper). As always, thank you so much for stopping by the blog today and stay tuned for more garden updates.
