Dreaming of a Greenhouse

Above you can see some of the dreamiest inspiration for a backyard greenhouse.

As we start to put the back yard together I have been thinking more and more about a greenhouse. To me, it would be a fun place to escape and to just dream while taking care of the plants it houses. As a kid I spent a lot of time in my dads, my grandpas and commercial greenhouses. I guess having a greenhouse just feels like something we should have.

If you have been following along here and on IG you have seen that we have quite the collection of plants growing inside from house plants to veggies. Even though we probably wont have a traditional garden we still want a place to put our flower seedlings before we transplant them. I hope that you all are excited to follow along with all of our yard projects because I am sure excited to share them with you.

While I would absolutely adore a wooden greenhouse I think a greenhouse kit is how we are going to go. My husband and his dad are building both of the sheds which is so special. Whether it is a kit or custom built we are going to find fun ways to make it our own. The first step is picking out a fun brick that we will use as the flooring. In my mind I see a herringbone pattern of some kind. My husband who has a friend that has some nice brick we may use:).

As far as the rest of it goes I see at least one if not two wooden tables to use to house the plants. It is also my dream to have a place to hang stuff up like an apron, gloves, brooms etc. For that I would honestly like to DIY a hanging space with some fun hooks and a left over piece of wood. I am getting so excited about this even if it is a next spring project. It never hurts to dream. Thank you for stopping by the blog today, I really appreciate it!
