New living room rug

I hope that you had a great long weekend however you spent it. For us it was a busy work around the house kind of weekend. We worked all day outside on Saturday ( the yardwork is a never ending job, especially with terrible allergies), Sunday and Monday we worked our booties off inside. It has been some time since we gave the house a real deep clean. This weekend we also bought a few new things for the house including a new living room rug.

Before we had a plain rug in here and while I love that rug( its moving to a different room) I was ready to switch it up. Sometimes its good to switch things up around your house, even if it is something small. We were walking sown the rug aisle and this one caught my eye almost immediately. It has some beautiful neutral tones mixed with all my favorite blues ( navy and turquoise). This is one of the softest rugs I have ever put my toes on. The only thing that I overlooked was that this rug is thinner then the other one. Luckily that is an easy problem to fix with a rug mat.
