Our summer table

While we were in St Michael’s a few months ago we visited one of our favorite spots Flamingo Flats( sadly it has closed but we will always remember the sweet owner and the lovely people who worked there). While we were there we found these Chesapeake Bay place mats that are double sided and perfect for the summer. Our pothos plant with some little flags added the perfect fourth of July touch to our dining table.

I love that one side of these placemats has nautical flags and the other is a nautical map of the Chesapeake Bay. It is just a classic summer motif for me growing up near the bay. The star fish plates were a find of my moms and we grabbed a few Foxy’s glasses the last time we visited. While this is a simple tablescape I think it adds the perfect balance of cozy and summer in our dining room.
